1. APPROVAL OF APRIL 5, 2011 TC MINUTES

2. REPORT OF APRIL 20, 2011 MEETING OF THE BALTIMORE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION BOARD

3. PRESENTATION ON THE BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON RAIL INTERMODAL FACILITY

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) will provide the TC with a briefing on the Baltimore-Washington Rail Intermodal Facility.  The project will relocate CSX's existing facility located at Seagirt Marine Terminal to a new venue south of Baltimore's Howard Street Tunnel.  The relocation is a key component of the National Gateway and will allow a more efficient flow of goods traveling along CSX's emerging double-stack rail network. 

4. RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION

The TC will be asked to recommend for approval Resolution #11-26 in support of an amendment to the 2011-2014 TIP to include $56 million in funding for preliminary engineering and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis for the Baltimore & Potomac Tunnel Study. 

5. RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION

The TC will be asked to recommend for approval  Resolution #11-27 in support of repairing six local Howard County bridges, as well as an amendment to relfect a recent grant award of $3.8 million in FFY 2010 TIGGER grant money for the Howard County Electric Bus Project.

6. SELECTION OF NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The Technical Committee Chair will appoint a Nominating Committee to assist in the selection of TC Officers for FY 2012.

7. PLAN IT 2035

BMC staff will present progress with current and ongoing tasks. 

8. PROGRESS REPORT ON UPWP PROJECTS

 BMC staff will present information on current UPWP projects, including:

  • Travel Differences by Age, Gender and Lifecycle
  • TAZ/TAD Delineation
  • 2008 Validation

WEATHER NOTICE
In the event that Baltimore County schools are closed system-wide, all meetings (AM and PM) of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board and its subcommittees will be cancelled for that day.  If the school system closes during the day, any meetings scheduled for the remainder of the day or evening are cancelled.  Delays in the opening of the school system do not impact any committee or their scheduled time.
