BRTB Invites the Public to Imagine the Possibilities at an Open House
June 3, 2010 (Baltimore, MD) – The Baltimore Regional Transportation Board (BRTB) heard what matters most to the region’s citizens at the recent imagine2060 public workshops and now asks the public to help find the right balance between where we will live and how we will get around at an interactive open house.
People of all ages are invited to visit an open house at any time during a three-hour period. Participants will see examples of different kinds of communities and different types of transportation systems, will choose which they prefer and will then learn what those choices might mean for the region.
Input gathered during imagine2060 will be used in developing the 2011 Baltimore Region Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and future plans. The focus of this 50-year vision is to improve accessibility for all and promote livable and sustainable communities throughout the metropolitan area.
Open houses will be held at local libraries throughout June. Stop by to share your vision of the region’s future.
