The Out & About Travel Guide provides easy to use information for individuals with special mobility needs and their caregivers, to help them conveniently local and use transportation services that are adapted to meet their special travel needs on a regular or occasional basis.

The expanded scope of specialized transportation providers included in this guide recognizes that the travel needs of the elderly and disable change as individuals progress through different stages of life.  It also recognized that specialized transportation needs to not occur in isolation, but are frequently related to other daily activities, such as health care, social services and housing.

The guide lists eighty-seven transportation providers that offer a range of services, and includes public, private and medical assistance transportation providers.  The guide includes a main directory of providers, as well as several indexes which group these providers into convenient categories to assist in finding the service needed.
