Traffic Signal Subcommittee
Purpose/Mission The Traffic Signal Subcommittee works to:
- Provide a forum for the region’s traffic signal engineers, managers, and field staff to discuss issues of common concern; and
- Identify and undertake projects that improve the operation and coordination of the region’s traffic signals.
In addition, the committee has worked for the last two years to put together a Traffic Signal Forum on important issues related to traffic signalization and management.
Who we are The committee consists of traffic signal engineers/managers from the five jurisdictions (Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard Counties and the Cities of Baltimore and Annapolis); State Highway Administration and Federal Highway Administration.
The committee also includes representatives from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, Maryland Transit Administration and consultants.
