Traffic Safety Fact Sheets

The Traffic Safety Analysis Division of State Highway Administration’s Office of Traffic and Safety has compiled a series of fact sheets on crashes for the Baltimore region and entire state for the past several years.
  • Maryland statewide, 1994-2004 - Crash and fatality rates for the last 11 years of data. The sections are intended for use in statewide and regional urban/rural transportation decision making following a briefing to the Baltimore Metropolitan Council in 2002. Pursuant to Title 23 of the Code of Federal Regulations and the Code of Maryland Regulations, Maryland State Police is the owner of the crash data. SHA pays MSP for copies of the crash data to conduct various engineering analysis for pending highway projects. (All in pdf)
