Holiday Driving Tips
The Baltimore Metropolitan Council wants you to have a FAB holiday season!
F - Focused
A - Always sober when driving
B - Buckled up

Focused
It’s easy to be distracted by holiday decorations and lights while driving, but remember to stay focused on the road.
Please be courteous, visible, and aware of other vehicles and pedestrians.

Always sober when driving
If drinking has turned your nose red please don’t drive the sleigh.
Plan ahead for a designated driver.
Check for local ride home programs before you go out.
Keep an overnight bag in the trunk of your car in case you have to spend the night.
If you’re hosting a party, provide alcohol-free beverages.

Buckled up
You wouldn’t think of driving home without tying the tree down would you?
Take the number one defensive action in a crash and make sure everyone is securely buckled up.
This is no time for Season’s Grievings
Be FAB not only during the holiday season, but every day throughout the year.
Each year approximately 75 fatalities in the Baltimore region result from impaired driving.
In 2008, 39 motorcyclists, 44 pedestrians and 4 bicyclists were killed, and 15 more lives were taken by aggressive driving.
