Kent Street Transit Plaza and Pedestrian Corridor Project - The purpose of this project is to expand bus ridership and safe access to the existing light rail system, strengthening the economically distressed community and the Westport Waterfront Project. Funds will be used for the design and construction of the Kent Street Plaza and Pedestrian Corridor from the Westport Light Rail Station to Annapolis Road. Transit Vehicle Purchases Project - The purpose of this project is to expand Baltimore City’s bus fleet in order to extend service to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. Funds will be used to purchase hybrid-electric transit vehicles for use in the Charm City Circulator. Project funding for these transit vehicles comes from the Paul S. A public review period on these two amendments was held from Thursday, August 12 through Tuesday, September 14, 2010. A public meeting to answer questions and accept comments on these amendments was held on Tuesday, August 31 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Baltimore Metropolitan Council.
