Amendment FY 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program
The following amendment to the 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program was approved on March 22, 2011. The amendment was requested by Baltimore City to the BRTB.
Kent Street Transit Plaza and Pedestrian Corridor Project
AMENDMENT TO PROJECT - Include additional funds toward completion of the project.
EXISTING PROJECT DESCRIPTION - The purpose of this project is to expand bus ridership and safe access to the existing light rail system, strengthening the economically distressed community and the Westport Waterfront Project. Funds will be used for the design and construction of the Kent Street Plaza and Pedestrian Corridor from the Westport Light Rail Station to Annapolis Road. Project funding comes from the Urban Circulator/Bus and Bus Livability Program.

Public Review and Comment
A public review period was held from Wednesday, February 16 through Friday, March 18, 2011. There were no written comments received during this time.
A public meeting to answer questions and accept comments on this amendment was held on Wednesday March 2 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (1500 Whetstone Way, Suite 300, Baltimore, MD 21230).
