BMC Offers Directory of Special Transportation Services

The Baltimore Metropolitan Council has released an updated and greatly expanded edition of its Out & About Travel Guide, to help the elderly and individuals with disabilities in the Baltimore region who have special travel needs. The guide lists many transportation providers who offer specialized and lift-equipped transportation services in Baltimore City, the City of Annapolis, and Anne Arundel, Baltimore Carroll, Harford and Howard counties. The guide also includes services that are available in Maryland counties adjacent to the Baltimore region and in York County, Pennsylvania.

The Out & About Travel Guide provides easy to use information for individuals with special mobility needs and their caregivers, to help them conveniently local and use transportation services that are adapted to meet their special travel needs on a regular or occasional basis.

The guide lists eighty-seven transportation providers that offer a range of services, and includes public, private and medical assistance transportation providers.
