BMC's Web Mapping
The Baltimore Metropolitan Council now provides data in a format that can be displayed using Google Earth™.

Some of the data you can view are:
- Travel speeds on regional highways
- How bicyclists grade individual local roads
- Major recently-issued building permits
- Long range transportation plan projects
- Aerial photos of congested areas

Why Google Earth™?
- Google Earth’s™ functionality allows BMC to overlay data on its high-tech landscaped interface for a cutting edge presentation.
- Data files are quite small and can be quickly downloaded.
- Tours can be exported to video and played using Windows Media Player.
- Customized tours can be designed to meet client’s needs.
To display BMC data in this new format, you will need to download and install Google Earth™ and one or more BMC data files on your computer. There is no charge for the data files and Google Earth™ is free for personal use.
