What are local governments doing?

Local governments in the Baltimore region are setting goals and exploring sustainable practices that can be integrated into governmental operations, business practices and community life in their jurisdictions.

Sustainability planning at the local level involves a variety of departments such as, planning and zoning, public works, recreation and parks and economic development. Some of our jurisdictions have created sustainability departments or offices, while others coordinate sustainable efforts through multiple departments.
