PENNSYLVANIA-BALTIMORE COMMUTERS FOR SURVEY |
| Input
sought on ways to expand or improve services |
|
A transit service that runs buses between York, Pa., and northern
Baltimore County is seeking information from commuters on how it could better
serve riders who work in Maryland.
Rabbitransit, the York County transit agency, has been operating
buses to Hunt Valley and Timonium for about a year as part of a federally
financed, three-year trial. Now, it is conducting a survey of Pennsylvanians who
work in Baltimore County in an attempt to learn how the system could better
serve them.

INVOLVED: GIVE CLEAN COMMUTING A TRY THIS MAY! |

Upcoming events
and opportunities from around the region |
I'm
doing my share for clean air!
 | May is Clean Commute Month!
Ah, May! It's the time when the
days become noticeably longer and flowers are in full bloom. It's also the month
when both temperatures and pollution levels rise throughout the Baltimore
region. A lot of that pollution-as much as one third-comes from tailpipe
emissions.
That's why May is Clean Commute
Month and why the Baltimore Metropolitan Council and the Clean Commute
Partnership are asking citizens to explore transportation options and try at
least one alternative to driving alone.
Clean Commute options include riding transit, biking, teleworking, and
carpooling. Give it a try this May. Find out how at www.cleancommutemonth.com or look for our Clean Commute
Month booth at these great events:
- Towsontown Festival on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2
- Baltimore Flower Mart on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8
- Carroll County Herb Festival at Piney Run Park on Saturday, May
8

in helping to stop their friends from driving while distracted!
|
Ever been in a car when the driver's busy texting instead of

That's why we're challenging all teen
drivers in schools in the Baltimore region to show us their best ideas about how
to stop distracted driving.
*Deadline Extended* Entries must be
posted by April 30, 2010. Voting begins May 1st.
If you are a young driver or have family or friends who are, please
participate or encourage them to participate. This is a great opportunity to
