A Clean Commute Month Special Edition of the Environmental News Brief |
|
|
||||||||||||||||
The following news "briefs" highlight recent news regarding transportation-related environmental issues, primarily air quality, affecting the Baltimore region. Please note that this brief is not all inclusive of the variety and magnitude of activities in the region. It is intended for informational purposes only; refer to the source, guidance, or program for additional information.
Help us clean the air the breathe! You can do it! For a few days in
May, keep your car parked. Try another way to get around. It's not
hard! You can take transit, bicycle, or even walk. If you do drive,
share your ride with a friend or co-worker, and make sure to keep your
car in tip-top condition. You could cut your commute costs in half.
Join us at a number of events around town and find out how you can save time, money, and stress by leaving your car parked. You can ride your bicycle to one of this year's Bike to Work Day rallies or visit our displays at the Baltimore Flowermart, the Towsontown Spring Festival, and the Herb Festival at Piney Run Park. You can attend a free car care clinic and learn how to keep your vehicle running as cleanly as possible.
