Simple Tips for Clean Air during Winter
For everyone:
You can take these
two simple steps for clean air during the
winter. The Federal Highway Administration recommends trip
chaining and telecommuting as simple ways during the winter
months to reduce air pollution from cars. Want to try trip
chaining and save some gas? All you need to do is plan ahead,
make a list of your errands, then combine 3 separate short
trips into one.
For employers:
A one-stop shop for teleworking materials and information,
Teleworkbaltimore.com, is available
throught a partnership between the Baltimore Metropolitan
Council and the Maryland Department of Transportation. This
site provides free help to local employers for starting telework
programs. In addition to the accessible materials, registered
participants may seek advice from a professional telework
consultant.
More and more
businesses are realizing bottom-line benefits from structured
telework programs.
