In 2006, a review of the goals
from the last long-range plan - Transportation 2030 - took place. The
following goals were approved by the BRTB in January 2007, with the assistance
of multiple subcommittees, including input from members of the public serving on
the Citizens Advisory Committee.

- Maximize Transportation System Management and Operations
- Increase Accessibility and Mobility
- Preserve the Environment
- Improve Transportation System Security
- Link Transportation Investment to Land Use and Economic

This summer the BRTB will release the draft
plan for Transportation Outlook 2035.
A series of public meetings will be held
throughout the region and public comments will be accepted throughout July and
August.
