7. ENDORSEMENT OF GOALS, REGIONALLY SIGNIFICANT CRITERIA AND PRIORITIZATION PROCESS FOR THE 2007 BALTIMORE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN (5 Minutes)
The BRTB will be asked to endorse Resolution #07-14 in support of the goals and prioritization process for the 2007 BRTP. 8. ADOPTION OF UPDATED PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN SUPPORT OF THE TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ACTIVITIES OF THE BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (10 Minutes)
The BRTB will be asked to adopt Resolution #07-15 in support of an updated Public Participation Plan for the transportation planning process conducted by the Baltimore MPO. This revised plan has been developed with input from a wide array of interested public and private stakeholders. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
9. PRESENTATION ON TRANSIT FUNDING STUDY STEERING COMMITTEE (10 Minutes) A representative from the Maryland Department of Transportation will brief the BRTB on the purpose and objectives of the Transit Funding Committee. The Committee was created by Senate Bill 850 passed during the 2006 session to develop a list of transit funding needs and potential funding options to address these costs.
10. REPORT ON TRANSPORTATION CONTROL STRATEGIES FOR REDUCING TRANSPORTATION RELATED EMISSIONS (10 Minutes)
Staff of the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) will present the results of a consultant study that explored various transportation emission reduction strategies that could potentially warrant application in the Baltimore region.
11. STATUS REPORT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2008 UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM (5 Minutes)
BMC staff will present the current status of the development process for the FY 2008 UPWP. The BRTB will be asked to approve this document in March.
12. PRESENTATION ON TRANSPORTATION RELATED LEGISLATIVE INITIATIVES OF THE 2007 MARYLAND GENERAL ASSEMBLY (5 Minutes)
BMC staff will brief the BRTB on transportation related legislative initiatives presently filed in the 2007 session of the Maryland General Assembly.
13. BRIEFING ON U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION’S URBAN PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT INITIATIVE (10 Minutes)
As part of the recently announced federal campaign to reduce congestion on the nation’s roads, rails, runways and waterways, U.S. DOT is aggressively promoting metropolitan areas to enter into an Urban Partnership Agreement (UPA) with the federal agency for the purpose of working with a variety of area stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to reduce traffic congestion. In turn, U.S. DOT will support a UPA with regulatory flexibility, funding and staff assistance. BMC will expand this discussion in its presentation to the Board.

Inclement Weather In the event that Baltimore County schools are closed systemwide, all meetings (AM and PM) of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board and its subcommittees will be cancelled for that day. If the school system closes during the day, any meetings scheduled for the remainder of the day or evening are cancelled. Delays in the opening of the school system do not impact any committee or their scheduled time.
