Transportation impacts everyone in the Baltimore region. Because of this, active involvement by the public is a very important piece of the transportation planning process. Your opinion about transportation is important! By working together, we can make the transportation system better for all of us.
Here are some ways you can get your voice heard:
- Speak at a Baltimore Regional Transportation Board Public Meeting - Each month, the BRTB holds a public meeting. This is one place that you can have your voice heard by our regions elected officials and representatives from state transportation and environment agencies. - Comment on transportation in our region, the planning process, or a plan - The BRTB is responsible for approving two major documents – the Long Range Plan and the short-range Transportation Improvement Program. There are many opportunities for public involvement in the development of each of these. Tell us what you think using this comment form.
- Fill out a survey - The BRTB is interested in hearing what you think! The information gathered in these surveys help us understand what is important to the public and how we can make the region better. Check out our latest survey!
- Write a letter to the editor of your local paper, to your elected representative, to a project manager, etc. You can also voice your opinion to transit providers and transportation agencies in our region. Telling other people your ideas and thoughts is essential to making the region better for all of us.
