Interagency Review

Working Together to Improve our Transportation System

The Baltimore Metropolitan Council is actively involved in the state interagency process for all major projects in the region. Under congestion management process guidelines, the Baltimore Rregional Transportation Board has an opportunity to comment on projects at various stages of the project planning process and endorse them by resolution at three key points:
  1. Purpose and Need;
  2. Alternates Retained for Detailed Study; and
  3. Selected Alternate/Conceptual Mitigation.
BMC is also working to strengthen relationships with State Highway Administration and other regional transportation agencies in an effort to integrate the long range planning process with on-going studies and provide input to the environmental impact assessment process.
