Congestion Management Process and Long-Range Planning

Looking to the future: Congestion Management and the Long-Range Transportation Plan
For the proposed long-range plan, Plan It 2035, the regional travel demand model was used to determine how much congestion we expect with existing and committed (E&C) projects, as well as what is expected in the future based on projects in the long-range plan's preferred alternative.  The E&C network represents projects currently built plus projects scheduled for construction by calendar year 2015.

The next two figures show maps of the congested roadways for the E&C Network and the long-range plan preferred alternative projects. Congested areas are highlighted on the maps.
