Resources
Citizens can easily speak out about transportation projects at public meetings and hearings. However, having an impact requires understanding the transportation process. By having good information, you can participate effectively in the state, local, and regional planning processes.
Here are a few resources to get you started:
- Basic Facts About Regional Transportation Planning (PDF, 89 KB) – an overview of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board and the plans and programs it is responsible for.
- Unified Planning Work Program will provide you with information on all of the activities carried out by the Baltimore Metropolitan Council to support the BRTB. The term Unified Planning Work Program is long and complicated, so just think of this as a Work Plan.
- Transportation Planning: A Guide for Citizens in the Baltimore Region - This guide provides a good basis for understanding transportation planning. Check back later for updates or get on our mailing list to stay up-to-date.
- B’More Involved – This e-newsletter goes out 2-4 times a month and provides subscribers with information about transportation related information and events throughout the entire region. This is a key resource for those wanting to learn more and stay involved with what is going on in the region. Sign up for B’More Involved or one of our other great e-newsletters.
Also, be sure to check out all of the information in the Regional Information Center.
