AGENDA 

1. APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 1, 2009 TC MINUTES

 

2. REPORT ON DECEMBER 22, 2009 MEETING OF THE BALTIMORE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION BOARD

 

3. RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION #10-14

BMC staff, on behalf of MDOT and Howard County, will ask the TC to recommend sending Resolution #10-14 to the BRTB for approval.

 

4. PRESENTATIONS ON BALTIMORE REGION HOUSEHOLD TRAVEL SURVEY

BMC staff will present analysis on commuting and mode share revealed in the 2007/2008 one day travel survey.

 

5. PRESENTATION ON INCREASING PARTICIPATION IN TRANSIT ASPECTS OF METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLANNING

BMC staff along with retained consultant services will update the TC on progress relating to transit participation in the planning process.

 

6. REVIEW OF REGIONAL EMERGENCY RIDE HOME PROGRAMS

Regional rideshare coordinators will provide examples to the TC on ERH programs to assist the TC with the development of an ERH recommendation for BRTB consideration. 

 

7. DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL COMMITTEE’S TRANSPORTATION TOPIC PAPER

Technical Committee will continue to develop the transportation topic paper for use in the vision process.

 

8. PROGRESS REPORT ON UPWP PROJECTS

BMC staff will present information on UPWP projects, including:

  • American Community Survey
  • Model Validation – 2008 Traffic Count Trends
  • DBE Program Outline

 

9. OTHER BUSINESS

Weather AlertIn the event that Baltimore County schools are closed system-wide, all meetings (AM and PM) of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board and its subcommittees will be cancelled for that day.  If the school system closes during the day, any meetings scheduled for the remainder of the day or evening are cancelled.  Delays in the opening of the school system do not impact any committee or their scheduled time.
