ACTION ITEMS
6. APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING THROUGH THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION SECTION 5310 GRANT PROGRAM (5 Minutes)
The BRTB will be asked to approve Resolution #09-18 in support of the applications received from non-profit organizations for FTA Section 5310 grant funds. These funds will be used to provide transportation services to the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
7. APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING THROUGH THE FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE MARYLAND STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION (5 Minutes)
The BRTB will be asked to approve Resolution #09-19 in support of the applications for funding through the Transportation Enhancement Program.
8. APPROVAL OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2010 UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM (5 Minutes)
The BRTB will be asked to approve Resolution #09-20 in support of the work tasks and associated budget resources outlined in the FY 2010 UPWP.
9. APPROVAL OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE MODIFICATION TO THE 2008-2012 BALTIMORE REGION TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (5 Minutes)
The BRTB will be asked to approve Resolution #09-21 in support of an administrative modification to the 2008-2012 TIP. The administrative modification is being requested to include new funds provided from the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. (5 Minutes)
10. APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2008-2012 BALTIMORE REGION TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (5 Minutes)
The BRTB will be asked to approve Resolution #09-22 in support of an amendment to the 2008-2012 TIP. The amendment will fund new highway system preservation projects and state and local transit initiatives as part of Phase 2 of the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
11. STATUS REPORT ON BALTIMORE’S RED LINE TRANSIT PROJECT (5 Minutes)
A representative from the Maryland Transit Administration will provide an update on the progress of the proposed Red Line Transit Project. The Red Line is a 14 mile east-west transit line that will provide a connection between the Woodlawn area of Baltimore County and the Bayview area in Baltimore City.
12. STATUS REPORT ON REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION VISION PLANNING (5 Minutes)
The BRTB will be briefed on the development of this work activity.
13. APPOINTMENT OF NOMINATING COMMITTEE (5 Minutes)
The Chairman of the BRTB will appoint a Nominating Committee to recommend a slate of BRTB Officers for Fiscal Year 2010. In accordance with the term limitations of the BRTB Bylaws, Howard County can not serve as Chair for FY 2010.
14. BRIEFING ON CONSULTANT ADMINISTRATION FOR WORK TASKS FUNDED THROUGH THE UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM (10 Minutes)
BMC staff will present a set of guidelines and procedures to be followed by all UPWP participants planning to issue a consultant contract funded through the UPWP.
15. UPDATE ON THE TRANSPORTATION/LAND USE WORK GROUPS OF THE MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CLIMATE ACTION PLAN (5 Minutes)

Weather AlertIn the event that Baltimore County schools are closed systemwide, all meetings (AM and PM) of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board and its subcommittees will be cancelled for that day. If the school system closes during the day, any meetings scheduled for the remainder of the day or evening are cancelled. Delays in the opening of the school system do not impact any committee or their scheduled time.
