Annual Work Plan and Budget - FY 2010 UPWPEvery year, the BRTB develops a work program for the coming fiscal year. This program, called the UPWP - Unified Planning Work Program for Transportation Planning, identifies activities to be completed by staff of the BMC on behalf of the BRTB and local and state agencies between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2010.
The UPWP activities focus on issues such as:
- Planning for air quality due to the region’s non-attainment status
- Coordination of planning activities to support public transit
- Systems to monitor and evaluate congestion, improve safety, and increase efficiency
- Transportation needs of the elderly, individuals with disabilities and low-income residents
- Bicycle and pedestrian access and safety

Public Review and CommentA public review period was held from Thursday, March 26, 2009 through Friday, April 24, 2009.
During this time, comments were received from two individuals/organzations and the Citizens Advisory Committee.
