6. PRESENTATION ON FEDERAL CERTIFICATION REVIEW OF THE BALTIMORE REGION METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (15 Minutes)

A representative from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will formally present the findings of the federal certification review of the Baltimore MPO conducted on June 23-25, 2008.

7. UPDATE ON TRANSPORTATION OUTLOOK 2035 PLAN AMENDMENT PROCESS (10 Minutes)

Staff of the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) will present a status report on this activity. The discussion will focus on the project recommendations received during the "listening" sessions and public outreach conducted throughout August.

8. PRESENTATION ON BRAC-RELATED ACTIVITIES IN THE ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND COMMUNITY (15 Minutes)

A representative from the Chesapeake Science and Security Corridor (CSSC) will update the BRTB on the activities planned or underway as the CSSC prepares for the redevelopment of Aberdeen Proving Ground as a result of the federal base realignment initiative known as BRAC.

9. PRESENTATION ON THE FINAL PLAN OF ACTION FROM THE MARYLAND COMMISSION ON CLIMATE CHANGE (10 Minutes)

A representative from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) will brief the BRTB on the recommendations included in the final "Action Plan" developed by the Maryland Commission on Climate Change.

10. STATUS REPORT ON THE BALTIMORE REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE IN TRANSPORTATION PROJECT (10 Minutes)**

BMC staff has been working with Morgan State University, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the Greater Baltimore Urban League on a U.S. EPA/FHWA sponsored grant that assists low-income minority communities and/or individuals participate in decision-making processes. The specific focus developed by this multi-disciplined team is the relationship between transportation and the social environment. Members of the team will brief the BRTB on the proposed function and role of the Baltimore MPO in this activity.
