ACTION ITEMS
6. APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION #08-17 – MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION AND THE MARYLAND TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION (5 Minutes)

The BRTB will be asked to endorse an amendment to Resolution #08-17. The amendment is introduced in response to comments provided by the federal team at the MPO’s June 2008 certification review.

7. APPROVAL OF ROUND 7-A COOPERATIVE FORECASTING PROCESS (5 Minutes)

The Board will be asked to endorse Resolution #09-5 in support of Round 7-A Cooperative Forecasting process through 2035. This dataset will be used for regional transportation and air quality planning purposes.

8. APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2009 UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM (5 Minutes)

The BRTB will be asked to endorse Resolution #09-6 in support of the use of carryover funds to conduct a regional survey of residential and commercial travel patterns.
 
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS

9. UPDATE ON TRANSPORTATION OUTLOOK 2035 PLAN AMENDMENT PROCESS (10 Minutes)

Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) staff will provide an update on the plan amendment process for Transportation Outlook 2035.

10. BRIEFING ON NEW FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION FUNDING INITIATIVE (10 Minutes)

BMC staff will brief the Board on the new federal approach to transportation planning and project implementation. The attempt is to reduce the timeline for project completion as well as create new and innovative funding mechanisms.

11. BRIEFING ON THE I-95 TRUCK PARKING INITIATIVE (10 Minutes)

Mr. Ed Miller, Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), will brief the Board on the federally sponsored I-95 project to develop innovative strategies to reduce truck parking issues in the corridor. The Maryland State Highway Administration submitted the request for federal support under the Corridors of the Future Program as part of U.S. DOT’s national congestion initiative.
 
12. STATUS REPORT ON BASE REALIGNMENT & CLOSURE (BRAC) ACTIVITIES IN ANNE ARUNDEL AND HARFORD COUNTIES (10 Minutes)

Staff from Anne Arundel and Harford counties will brief the BRTB on local activities in preparation of BRAC-related expansion at Fort Meade and Aberdeen Proving Ground.
