2. Action Item – Approval of Minutes from April 22, 2008 Board Meeting

The Board is requested to review and adopt the enclosed minutes from our second quarterly meeting of Calendar Year 2008.

3. Presentations

  • Quarterly Update by Urban Area Work Group (UAWG), Robert Maloney, Director, Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management
  • Briefing on Shelf Life Extension Program (SLEP) of stockpiled pharmaceuticals, Captain, Thomas Wilson, Director of Emergency Management, Anne Arundel County Police and Frances B. Phillips, RN, MHA, Health Officer, Anne Arundel County Department of Health
  • Briefing on Activities of the Chesapeake Science and Security Corridor (CSSC), Karen L. Holt, Regional BRAC Manager
4. Action Item – Consideration of Regional Participation in Mayor’s Cleaner Baltimore Campaign

As part of Mayor Dixon’s initiative for a Cleaner Greener Baltimore, the Mayor, in partnership with the Baltimore Community Foundation, will launch a multi-media campaign to clean up our city. Since embarking on this project more than a year ago and talking with dozens of organizations and businesses, we have learned that the messages in this creative campaign have regional applications.
