7. APPROVAL OF AMENDMENTS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2009 UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM (5 Minutes)
The Board will be asked to endorse
Resolution #09-2 in support of amendments to the FY 2009 UPWP. One amendment is to accommodate Baltimore City’s request for additional FY 2009 UPWP funds and the other is to use carryover funds to backfill recisions in federal planning resources for FY 2009.
8. APPROVAL OF PREFERRED ALTERNATIVE FOR MD 295 FROM MD 100 TO I-195 AND HANOVER ROAD (5 Minutes)
In keeping with the MPO’s Congestion Management Process, the BRTB will be asked to endorse
Resolution #09-3 in support of the Preferred Alternative for MD 295. This alternative has been endorsed by Anne Arundel County.
9. APPROVAL OF AMENDMENTS TO THE 2008-2012 BALTIMORE REGION TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (5 Minutes)
On behalf of the Maryland State Highway Administration, the BRTB will be asked to approve
Resolution #09-4 in support of amendments to the 2008-2012 TIP.
INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
10. UPDATE ON FEDERAL CERTIFICATION REVIEW OF THE BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (5 Minutes)
BMC staff will provide a status report on the federal certification review conducted on the Baltimore metropolitan planning organization between June 23-25.
11. STATUS REPORT ON TRANSPORTATION OUTLOOK 2035 (10 Minutes)
The BRTB will discuss potential options/strategies to amend the region’s long-range transportation plan.
12. REPORT ON REGIONAL TRAVEL TRENDS (10 Minutes)
BMC staff will provide a
profile of travel trends in the Baltimore region. This on-going effort to monitor travel behavior in the region supports the MPO’s congestion management process and serves as a key input for the long-range transportation plan.
13. PRESENTATION ON THE TRANSPORTATION INITIATIVES IN THE MARYLAND COMMISSION ON CLIMATE CHANGE FINAL REPORT (10 Minutes)
