Directions to BMC Using Transit
The Baltimore Metropolitan Council is located on the third floor of The Offices @ McHenry Row, near the intersection of Fort Avenue and Woodall Street. The address is 1500 Whetstone Way, Suite 300, Baltimore, MD 21230.
The most direct service is on the Maryland Transit Administration's bus route 1, which runs on Fort Avenue. Route 1 (schedule, map) runs between Mondawmin Mall and Ft. Mchenry via downtown Baltimore.
Downtown it travels on Baltimore and Light Streets on its way to McHenry Row. On the return trip, it travels on Charles and West Fayette Streets. Connections can be made with the Metro at the Charles Center Station,and with the light rail at the University Center-Baltimore Street stop.
Fort Avenue is currently (August 2011 until sometime in the summer of 2012) closed to traffic just east of Woodall Street while a bridge over the CSX tracks is replaced. During that time, the nearest bus stops are some blocks west of Woodall. Coming to the office, get off at the corner of Fort and Lawrence (at Southside Marketplace) and continue walking east 2 blocks to Woodall Street (just past the firehouse) and turn right. BMC is located in a five-story office building along Woodall Street behind the firehouse. The entrance to the building is on the far side of the building, across from the water tower.
When you leave our building, walk to Fort, then left (west) 4 blocks to the corner of Fort and Boyle. The City has a map showing the temporary bus stop locations.
