ACTION ITEMS

6. APPROVAL OF LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY PLAN FOR THE BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (5 Minutes)

The BRTB will be asked to approve Resolution #08-8 in support of the Limited English Proficiency Plan for the Baltimore metropolitan planning organization. The Plan is the result of an analysis in determining the reasonable steps the BRTB should take to ensure meaningful access to information and services provided by the BRTB.
 
7. APPROVAL OF TRANSPORTATION OUTLOOK 2035 (10 Minutes)

The BRTB will be asked to approve Resolution #08-9 in support of a new long-range transportation plan and associated conformity determination for the Baltimore metropolitan planning area.
 
8. APPROVAL OF 2008-2012 BALTIMORE REGION TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMn (5 Minutes)

The BRTB will be asked to approve Resolution #08-10 in support of the projects, programs and conformity determination of the 2008-2012 Baltimore TIP.

INFORMATIONAL ITEMS

9. PRESENTATION FROM THE MARYLAND HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE (10 Minutes)

A representative from the Maryland Highway Safety Office (MHSO) will brief the Board on Maryland’s Safe Routes to School initiative. The Maryland program is in keeping with the federal mandate as outlined in SAFETEA-LU.

10. PRESENTATION ON REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION WORK TASKS ASSOCIATED WITH BASE REALIGNMENT & CLOSURE ACTIONS (5 Minutes)

Baltimore Metropolitan Council staff will update the Board on various transportation work tasks currently underway in regard to BRAC.
 
11. PRESENTATION ON PM2.5 HOT SPOT ANALYSIS (10 Minutes)

BMC staff will present an overview of this federally mandated activity and its relationship to the metropolitan transportation planning process.

Weather Notice
In the event that Baltimore County schools are closed systemwide, all meetings (AM and PM) of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board and its subcommittees will be cancelled for that day.  If the school system closes during the day, any meetings scheduled for the remainder of the day or evening are cancelled.  Delays in the opening of the school system do not impact any committee or their scheduled time.
